Our Story
HISTORY
Sera Schools was founded in Pacifica, California in 2005 by owner and instructor Brita Fay and her husband John Fay. As a highly trained musician, Brita was looking for a creative outlet for her love of children and music. Brita then developed an in depth program based on program and ribbon level system for the musical classroom. Brita's developmental music program emphasizes a balance between love and discipline, thus teaching not only music, but also self esteem and coping skills.
Today, Sera Schools music schools are located in numerous schools and businesses throughout Colorado. Our teachers are highly trained in all levels of the Sera School's music method. We offer classes 5 days a week for musicians of all ages (4 years to adult) as well as Little Seras Early Childhood classes for younger children. Our classes are once a week, typically for 1/2 hour, with student-teacher ratio of 4:1 for semi-private lessons and 1:1 for private lessons.

Today Sera School's students are benefiting from the top music instruction school in Colorado. As we continue to add new instruments, classes, and cities at Sera Schools we strive to maintain our excellent customer service and high quality instruction which we are known for.
We specialize in students who are brand new to music! Through rewards/awards SS's motivates and encourages students to experience and enjoy music whether they continue on to attend Julliard or become a recreational musician.
It's important for students to have plenty of performance opportunities. Regular recitals and competitions are part of the Sera School's experience.
In addition to our new In-Home Tutoring lessons, Sera Schools has a comprehensive Early Childhood Music and Movement program for ages 4months to 5yrs. as well as our Little Mozart's Classes which provide students ages 5 and 6 the essentials to build a foundation to begin the jump into music lessons.
